Below is a list of the major ISSI grant tasks for the school year and the name of one or more of our SALTT team members responsible for each of them. Keep in mind that if you are listed as the responsible party for a given task, you do not have to actually do it. You are simply responsible for ensuring that it does get done with input and help from the rest of us, from the LISD tech people, from anyone.......
PLEASE feel free to add your ideas....PLEASE send your ideas for any of the tasks to the person/people responsible for them!
To edit, you must be a "member" of the WIKI. (You should have received an invitation to do that, so be sure to say "yes".) Then click on the EDIT button at the top of this page and edit away. Some thoughts from Jan:
It looks to me like in the Chart #2, there may be too much in the month of May. Does anyone else agree? Let's think about how we can remain true to the stated agenda in the grant proposal and yet not make our colleagues dizzy with too much info.
Eric, do you think you could find a second meeting time before school starts for our team? Although we have divided up the tasks pretty well, we haven't decided
details about how we want our monthly presentations to look. We need to plan the specifics of a few things, don't you think?.....
if we want our team to have a name/a new name
what kind of treats Al is bringing to our next meeting
if we want to have a "gimmick" or "theme" or "tradition" to use at our monthly presentations
Should we decide how long our monthly presentations should be so that we can include that goal in our planning...or will each month's lesson require a different amount of time?
policies and procedures for checking out and using the hardware
Scot and Al, because we know that you are such suave presenters, we are counting in you to infuse your magic into all of the lessons we do at staff meetings. We need your ideas on everything we did today. If you want to volunteer to do any of the tasks that we have assigned to someone else, please do so! Would you like to volunteer to co-present with anyone on any of the tasks?
What do you think about providing a one-page monthly thing which could be sent electronically to staff members and which they could print off and save if they want to do that or could save in an electronic folder of their choice. The page could include info on the topics for that monthly meeting, written instructions for using the technology tool and websites related to the montly topics, inspirational quotes, Al's favorite recipes, etc.
Did we decide to investigate Zoomerang as the tool for administering the pre- and post-program surveys? How will be ensure that all staff members take it?
What tactics will we use do infuse our enthusiasm for these technologies and tools into our colleagues? Al dancing to Scot's original rap??
We decided on Sunday that as we go through the year, we may decide to modify some of the "fun websites" that are listed on the monthly plan above, so if you use a wonderful one, please put it on the list.
